in DePuy Hip Replacement Claims
Javerbaum Wurgaft is pursuing claims on behalf of patients who have had DePuy hip replacements and who are now facing serious complications.  DePuy Orthopaedics has issued a voluntary recall of its ASR™ XL Acetabular Hip System and DePuy ASR™ Hip Resurfacing System. In addition to a high failure rate in the hip system (approximately 13 %), the recall was also prompted by wear of the components releasing toxic metals into the bloodstream. This recall means additional testing, monitoring and potentially revision surgery may be necessary. These systems first became available in July 2003. If you had your hip surgery prior to July 2003, the hip you received is not subject to this recall.
