Civil Litigation Attorney Jack Wurgaft to Teach Popular ICLE Course: More Powerful Openings and Closings

Date:
March 14, 2007

SPRINGFIELD, N.J. (March 14, 2007) - Jack Wurgaft, Esq., a Certified Civil Trial Attorney with Javerbaum Wurgaft Hicks Kahn Wikstrom & Sinins, will teach a New Jersey Institute for Continuing Education (ICLE) course entitled, "More Powerful Openings and Closings" on March 24, 2007.  The seminar, which will be held at the Ramada Inn in East Hanover, will offer New Jersey attorneys a proven strategy for catching and keeping the jury's attention from the start to finish.

"When representing the plaintiff or defendant, the opening statement and final argument are two of the most important opportunities to captivate the judge and jury," said Wurgaft.  "This course is intended to provide attorneys with useful tactics to develop and deliver more powerful arguments."

During the four-hour course, Wurgaft will draw on his 30 years of civil litigation experience as one of the state's leading trial attorneys to demonstrate the type of opening and closing statements that win cases.  Statistics have shown that jurors have a tendency to make their decision after they hear opening statements. Wurgaft will demonstrate how to use an opening statement effectively to open the jurors' minds to the client's perspective.  He will also show how to use a closing argument as the final opportunity to cinch a favorable jury verdict. More information on the seminar is available at http://www.njicle.com/seminar.aspx?sid=216
