Steven Firsichbaum joined Javerbaum Wurgaft in 2015 and his practice focuses on Worker’s Compensation litigation. Admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 1976, he has over 40 years of experience as a litigation attorney. For 15 years, Mr. Firsichbaum served as the Presiding Municipal Judge in the Township of Springfield, NJ. He presided over trials and motions and administered the municipal court. Mr. Firsichbaum has extensive experience in the defense and prosecution of worker’s compensation claims along with civil court litigation. In addition to his experience and background in workers’ compensation law, Mr. Firsichbaum has represented clients in a variety of areas, including automobile accidents, residential real estate, negligence (plaintiff and defense), product liability, insurance and general liability litigation. He has tried cases in the NJ Municipal Courts, the Federal District Court for the District of NJ and has argued cases in the Appellate Division of Superior Court.
Mr. Firsichbaum began his career as an attorney at the firm of Stanley R. Bright, Esq. He was previously associated with the law firm of Schneider, Cohen & Solomon, where he managed the general practice section of the firm. At the firm of Shevick, Ravich, Koster, Tobin, Oleckna & Reitman, Mr. Firsichbaum managed the Workers’ Compensation department.
Serving as a lecturer at the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education and the Practicing Law Institute has been one of the many highlights in Mr. Firsichbaum’s career.
Mr. Firsichbaum is a member of the NJSBA and the Justice Coleman Inns of Court.
