Javerbaum Wurgaft Partner Andrew Moskowitz recently settled an employment discrimination case for $325,000 under the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination.
The Plaintiff had been an employee of Defendant Kean University for sixteen years. She worked as the Managing Assistant Director of Career Services. On April 11, 2017, she was required to take a medical leave. She returned on July 25, 2017. Her employment was terminated on the day that she returned from medical leave. Mr. Moskowitz alleged that her termination constituted disparate treatment in violation of the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination.
