Leslie Polanco Linares specializes in family-based and employment-based immigration law, guiding individuals, families, and employers through the complex U.S. immigration system with clarity, compassion, and strategic expertise.
Born in the Dominican Republic and based in New York City, Leslie brings a bicultural perspective and a deep commitment to serving immigrant communities. Fluent in Spanish, she ensures that her clients can fully engage in their cases without language or cultural barriers.
She began her immigration career at The Bronx Defenders in the New York Immigrant Family Unity Project (NYIFUP), where she represented detained immigrants facing deportation and worked alongside multidisciplinary teams to address both legal and human challenges.
In addition to direct client representation, Leslie has provided consulting services to other law firms and organizations, helping them build and strengthen their immigration practices. Through this work, she has advised on case strategy, practice management, and business development, enabling firms to expand their capacity to serve immigrant clients effectively.
As the founder of her own immigration practice, Leslie has represented clients in matters ranging from adjustment of status and waivers to humanitarian petitions and employment-based sponsorship. Her wide-ranging experience allows her to approach each case with a comprehensive understanding of both individual and corporate immigration needs.

Leslie Polanco Linares is committed to community service and advancing access to justice. She served a two-year term as a Director on the Board of the Dominican Bar Association, where she hosted panels on the bar exam, immigration, and professional development, while also volunteering at pro bono immigration day clinics throughout New York City. She continues to combine her legal expertise with service, ensuring immigrant families and underserved communities have the resources they need to thrive.
