Javerbaum Wurgaft Attorneys have filed a lawsuit against Bernards Township School District and Bernards Township Board of Education on behalf of a student who endured racist slurs and bullying because of his race.
The case has recently been highlighted in an article published on MyCentralJersey.com. The article emphasizes that while the School District confirmed the incidents, it failed to take appropriate disciplinary and/or remedial measures to protect the student from continued bullying.
“At Javerbaum Wurgaft, we understand that every child has the legal right to learn and grow in an environment free from harassment, intimidation, and bullying,” stated Heidi R. Weintraub, a Partner at Javerbaum Wurgaft and lead trial counsel in the case. “We are committed to fighting for justice and advocating for robust anti-bullying measures in the Bernards Township Public Schools and in all public schools in New Jersey.”
