Proton Pump Inhibitor (PPI) Litigation
Proton Pump Inhibitor (PPI) drugs have been linked to kidney failure and kidney disease, including acute interstitial nephritis (AIN). With so many using the Nexium “purple pill”and other proton pump inhibitors such as Prilosec and Prevacid, a new study found in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), January 2016, has identified an increased risk for various forms of sudden and increasingly chronic kidney damage, disease and kidney failure. This increased risk can be as high as 20% to 50% This class of drugs is widely prescribed (or are found over the counter) to treat heartburn, acid reflux and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
If you are using or have used any of these drugs, and are experiencing kidney issues, please contact Frank Rodriguez at (973) 379-4200 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
