Javerbaum Wurgaft Hicks Kahn Wikstrom & Sinins, P.C., is pleased to announce that Annabelle M. Steinhacker, Esq., has been promoted to Partner. Ms. Steinhacker concentrates her practice on appellate advocacy, personal injury matters and professional malpractice.

After graduating from Yale University with a B.A. in 2000, Ms. Steinhacker had the honor to represent the United States as a Fulbright Fellow in the Netherlands where she conducted a comparative study on the Dutch and American criminal justice systems. Upon graduation from the University of Maine School of Law in 2007, she served a Judicial Clerkship with the Honorable Dennis F. Carey, III, Judge of the Superior Court of New Jersey.
Ms. Steinhacker regularly appears as Amicus counsel on behalf of the New Jersey Association of Justice, the ACLU of New Jersey, the New Jersey State Bar Association and other organizations. Her focus on privacy issues led her to being published in the legal journal, “Jurist,” and to her representation of Google, Facebook and Instagram. She often lectures for the New Jersey Association of Justice, the New Jersey Defense Association and NJICLE. She also appeared as a featured guest on the legal talk show, “Pro Se Nation.”
In 2016, Ms. Steinhacker was named by the New Jersey Law Journal a “Leader in the Bar” (formerly known as “40 under 40”). She was awarded the New Jersey Association of Justice Amicus Award in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2022, and she was awarded the New Jersey State Bar Amicus Award in 2009. Ms. Steinhacker has been continuously named a Super Lawyer from 2017 through 2022.* Before that she was named to the Super Lawyers Rising Stars list in 2015 and 2016.*
She is admitted to practice before the New Jersey and New York Bars, U.S. District Court, Division of New Jersey, Eastern District of New York and Southern District of New York.
Ms. Steinhacker holds positions in numerous legal organizations including the Board of Trustees for the Trial Attorneys of New Jersey; American Bar Association; New Jersey Association of Justice; Hudson County Bar Association; Essex County Bar Association; and New York State Bar Association.
